Funds from the Swan Hotel and revenue from venue rentals help support our programs at the Northwest Maritime Center.
We have had our badge pinning ceremony at the Maritime center for the past two years. It went great and the people were very helpful and patient with us moving tables at the last minute. The space is beautiful and having the elevator to move things upstairs is appreciated. Thank you!
Thank you for all your support in ensuring that our event went off without any problems. Special thank you to Marvin for answering all of our questions and helping with the changes at the last moment. All the staff were wonderful and we appreciate the assistance even as we were cleaning up. We have used the NWMC before and will use them again. Our guests loved the venue site. Thank you Linda mollino
When we were looking for a venue, we knew this was the right place for us with the mountain and the water views. The most beautiful place on the water, the NWMC was a fantastic place. With a very responsive staff and helpful crew for setting up, they took into account our requests and made sure thing were perfect for our day. We had about 125 guests which still left plenty of room for dancing and eating, hanging out during cocktail hour on the deck and a photo booth. Truly one of the most beautiful views of the PNW! All of the wedding party stayed across the street in the Swan Hotel which was extremely convenient for getting ready and clean up, but also just a perfect place to gather and stay.
We rented the Oliver & Morris room for a community presentation. The campus manager, Mia, was helpful and communicative, and the day-of coordinator, Blaine, was also super helpful and friendly. The space is clean and and the tall ceilings make the spaces feel nice and open. Looking forward to utilizing the NWMC again in the future.
The staff at NWMC are exceptional to work with to make sure that your event goes smoothly. For the last two years the Port Townsend Public Library has hosted our annual “Meet the Author” event, which is the grand finale of the Community Read program in March https://ptpubliclibrary.org/library/page/community-read The attendees love the beautiful setting and appreciate how accessible it it. We look forward to hosting future library events at the NWMC. Thank you Mia and Erin!
We held our son’s rehearsal dinner in the Morris room. Great experience from beginning to end! Mia was our primary contact and she provided excellent customer service and support–efficient, timely, and patient with my many questions. Thank you Mia! This is a gorgeous venue and the catering kitchen made it very efficient for our caterer–Crescent Moon Catering–I highly recommend them as well. Great customer service and excellent food. The venue is gorgeous with a view that can’t be matched.
This was our second year holding our fundraiser event at the NWMC. We rented the full upstairs main event space along with the mezzanine area. Mia is great to work with before the event and was flexible and accommodating with our last minute changes. The room was set up exactly as we asked when we arrived and the two staff people on site to help during the event were really fantastic. They really got into the mission behind our event and went above and beyond to help us out with a few small hiccups on the day of our event which really made things less stressful! And the check out list at the end of the night was super easy and reasonable. There was only one downside for our event and that was the chairs used at the round tables were pretty bulky with legs that stuck out quite a bit. I wish I had realized how our floor plan would have felt so we could have spread the tables out a bit more to make moving between tables once our guests were seated a bit easier. Even given this, we loved being in this space. We will definitely be back for future events!
Our event in January 2024 went extremely well. Our contact was responsive, helpful and nice. Communication with the venue was easy and timely. Our day of contact was friendly, attentive and helpful (especially when we had to move all the chairs around a different way – due to our speakers last minute request). Food service from the Lighthouse Cafe was super, everyone loved the food and the team from Lighthouse was super nice and helpful (they even did our dishes for us)!!!! Would totally use this space again for any other event we might be having.
We used half of the larger space offered and were able to bring in our own food and beverages. The staff were very accommodating and did a wonderful job of setting the space up to meet our needs.
Our group loved the space for our event. It’s elegant in a subtle way. The person who did day of set-up was fantastic. The only downside was being billed for every hour we were on site even for set up. A flat fee for the day rather than charging by the hour would be less stressful to set up and clean up as fast as possible. The staff was easy to work with and accommodating to our requests. The view is spectacular and the location amidst a variety of lodging options made for a wonderful event. I would definitely recommend Northwest Maritime Center.
This is our second year hosting our company Holiday Party at the NW Maritime Center and it was another home run! They set up the room for you and make sure everything is done correctly. They have an employee there the whole time just in case you have an issue. The room is a perfect size for our group (if not a little big) so there was plenty of socializing. We will use them again next year.
We are so glad we chose the NW Maritime Center for our September wedding! The plaza was perfect for our ceremony with a beautiful view of the ocean and the reception area was gorgeous as well. The Maritime Center staff were extremely communicative and easy to work with. We hired several of their preferred vendors and were super happy with how everything came together to make our wedding day memorable and stress free.
I loved having my wedding reception at the Northwest Maritime Center. The large room with its upper decks has fantastic water and mountain views. I loved the natural wood throughout the space. There was ample space for my 120 guests to sit, dance, and socialize both indoors and outdoors. I appreciated the flexibility to provide my own food and beverage. Many of my guests enjoyed staying across the street at the Swan Hotel. It was a magical experience!
